ABOUT BUDO JUDO CLUB
In 1882, Dr. Jigoro Kano, founded Judo. The Japanese vernacular meaning of judo is the “Gentle Way”. Judo is a combat sport and also a martial art that emphasizes self defense, safety, fitness and self discipline through competitive grappling and mat techniques.
The Budo Judo Club in Tecumseh, Ontario, was founded in 2018 and is currently registered with Judo Ontario and is in good standing with Judo Canada.
The Budo Judo Club has one certified Dojo Instructor (National Coaching Certification Program – NCCP – Level 2), and four certified Dojo Assistants (NCCP – Level 1).
The Budo Judo Club has a mat area of 1300 square feet of “Dax” tatami (mats). Also of note, several club members are certified in both Standard First Aid and C.P.R. (cardiopulmonary resuscitation). The club even has an AED (Automatic External Defibrillator) as an added safety measure.
